Well theres this theory about intelligence being an imp stat for a QB.

Question1>
So would you pick Q1 with lets say 19 at intelligence over Q2 with 15 to play Qb,even if Q2(7/7) has real high Vision/passing compared to Q1 (1/3)?

Question2>
Lets say among the 2 guys discussed above Q1 has better speed, strength, other stats etc than Q2. Would it make more sense in playing Q1 at some other position and Q2 at QB?

ages / consistencies
Q1 -18 yr old /14

Q2 -20yr old /10Last edited on 2009-05-21 at 2:56

Well, with that it comes somewhat closer but I'd still take 2. However, also important is teamwork, because their both relatively young and with high teamwork one could easily overtake the other.

Hmm well their teamwork stats are pretty even at 8 for the 18yr old and 9 for the 20 year old

Well. they're pretty even, I'd take the first but neither one is spectacular. The 7/7 is good, adequate intelligence, but the consistency might make me use the transfer list.

I concur; eventually I'll have to use the transfer list(unless a good rookie prospect turned up). But I was thinking that would probably not be possible before the end of the season. Since I am playing in an all-bot league, I was planning on using the 20 yr old since he is not too good for any position (and then dump him/ look at whether his training through this season might help him add depth at any position). But then I thought I might as well get a second opinion about if the other player had a chance at being a decent qb with the avg intelligence.

Just for the record, I use the total picture to determine which QB is going to be the best at his position Vision Intelligence and Passing. if one player has a higher total then he will make the best QB now. Intelligence is best for determining who has the potential to be the best QB overall.

Let's be honest 1/3 is not a viable QB in the near-term. Whether you wish to train up his skills and make him a QB in the long-term is possible.

What you should consider, is if his Vision is 1 and Passing is 3, couldn't you find a similar high-intelligence player with better vision & passing on the Transfer List. So what's the point of training up player Q2 then?
