I understand where you are coming from completely.

But I also understand that those users, that join a game months after the start date, will lose out in some way or form. It is inevitable.

The problem is with that "newbee can pull every week" thing: If each newbee put his player on TL, there are even too many players there, that would not help the market itself. I think, this "every two weeks for all users" implementation is a good one. It also helps that average skilled players, they have a higher value, it makes more sense to build them in future. Having teams with 50 "five-star guys" out there is not what this game needs, right?

Market stabilization. That is how it helps young teams. There are simple market factors called supply and demand. The training speed is such that the supply was at a point where demand was set to PLUMMET. 20 youth pulls a season is not needed. Even if you keep Half of the youth pulls in a 10 player yp season. that is 5 new players a season. which equates to transferring out 1/4 of your starting rotation every year. The average lifespan of a player is 10 playable seasons this means that you have 100 youth players to replace your starting lineup throughout that time. With that amount of players you should still easily be able to field a team and have players for sale and purchase. It simply reduces the supply, which is a stablizing force for the market

Even half of my pulls weren't worth much at all. If they are to limit the youth pulls I think they need to modify how we select them. Some sort of brief description or a few teaser stats. Right now it is flip a coin and hopefully you get something good. I've been here a few months and finally got a good one, yesterday. That little description or teaser stat would probably lead to people keeping their player and not just flooding the market with the youth pulls. It is difficult enough keeping a full competitive roster and not go in the red, so people would have to really think hard before sending someone off to the market.

I totally agree with this. The only thing I have to go on is the player's age. The position doesn't matter at all and the name is random as well. So some kind of available stats would be great! Maybe with the Youth Academy (which I think is worthless right now) you can see more stats.

What happens to the youth players that aren't selected? Do they go on the transfer list as Free agents or are they just gone? I've looked for mine, but have never seen one of my non-selected youths appear anywhere.

This has made me think that it doesn't really matter which player you choose. Since we don't see stats beforehand, and if the other player(s) just disappear, that maybe the stats are generated after you pick the youth player. Meaning that it wouldn't matter which player you picked, the stats would be the same anyway.

Of course, I could be way off base, and it's just speculation. If this was the case, it wouldn't really make any difference because we still won't know what the players are like beforehand, and most people have already just started selecting the younger player anyway since it's the only usable stat we do see.

That is easy. Choose always the guy you dont need by position, it will be the better one. ALWAYS!!

Fairly true as I didn't need an off lineman at the time as it is my strongest position, and yet this little gem comes along.

Youth team pick will be changed due to reason that there are too many players in G-I. Players go through the transfer list without bidding on them.
Those managers who come sooner here and they are "fat" with players have to pay more for them and those players who don't play don't get experience and team chemistry.

We believe that market will revive after this change. Hope so

Is there any way to set what type of player your "scouts" are looking for so that you do not always pick youth players that you are already heavy at that position on your roster. Or maybe if you have players close to retirement age that they look for them more than the positions that you already have young players at?

Just a thought
