The 3-4, DT's or DE's?

Hi all,

First post so go easy on me

I've got a question about running the 3-4 D and where best to position the DE's, now from my understanding if I play them at DE they should get more QB pressures and the OLB's will get very little. However, if I put them at DT I should get more pressures from the LB but will that stop the DT's pressuring as well?

Ideally I'd like a combination of the two, but at the minute looks like you can have one or the other.

"2. QB sack routine revised. The routine was rewritten and now, the running backs also add another "layer of protection" for their Quarterback if needed, while the sacker is most likely (but still not always) to be a defensive end."

u dont play DE your OLB pressure, but as stated not just those positions. thats my understanding of it any way, could be wrong.
no reason why your DT's couldnt pressure if they are fast enough.

Welcome to the game, Steblin.

It may be worth checking out my last friendly versus All-Stars Wroclaw.

I played 3-4 with two Tackles. All of the sacks and hurries were from Linebackers. I do not know if this would be any different if I played Ends, perhaps I will try that in a few weeks

Looking at your tactic Guru, what are your reasoning behind using 2 free safeties over one of each type of safety?

Past experience - I used to get killed by the Pass! Really really badly!

My front 7 tend to be quite good against the run, so I figured that there is no need for my team to have a SS.

Hope this helps
