I just bought the fitness center, well actually it was just completed, and I realized I don't even know what it does, what do those upgrades do for you?

Facility effects are listed under the FAQ.

Fitness center gives you a training boost for your fitness training skills (strength, speed, stamina). Based on how I train my players, I would've gone with the training hall first, but too late for that I s'pose!

I went for Fitness first also, so no need to worry my friend.

Fitness Centre is a gerat investment if you have a good fitness coach also. As the training bonus is worth taking note of.
