this may have already been done so apologies if it has.

Your favourite Football film or films and reasons.

I have 3

Remember the Titans

Denzel washington = fantastic actor
Great film for a true story, for me it deals with the race issue that was unfortunately ripe at the time very well. From what I gather it is also factual with not much "artistic licence" thrown in to make it more appealing. All round a good film with some memorable quotes.

The Waterboy

Adam Sandler is fantastic in this, as well as everyone else. Very funny film, ok the football takes a back seat and is slightly unrealistic but helps add to the enjoyment quality of the film.

Any Given Sunday

Oliver Stone is known for making his films close to the bone and realistic, but I didn't get that completly from this film. Some parts are great and you can just imagine pro-life being like that but some parts left me cold. However over all well done playing sequences, good basic storyline and most parts well played

Honorable mention

We Are Marshall

Never heard of it till bought it on DVD and must say it's worth watching. It truly shows how football brings people and communities together.

There are loads of others I liked but these are my absolute favs.

close seconds were Rudy, The Replacements, Gridiron Gang, Mean Machine (Longest Yard if you're under 25)

Anyone else wanna share their thoughts?

We Are Marshall is great. One of the few movies of any kind that actually brought tears to my eyes.

Any Given Sunday is also good, and Remember the Titans is one of my favorite movies of all time.

GridIron Gang, Rudy, We are Marshall, and Remember the Titans, are all on the top 10 of my all time favourite movies, yet alone football.

The Longest Yard (it was called that here in the US even way back then), The Waterboy, Necessary Roughness, The Replacements, All The Right Moves, and Invincible would be my favorites. I also loved the old HBO series 1st and 10.

There's the Jerry Mguire movie... it's not 100% about football, but it has Tom Cruise in the role of a players agent. It's about the Agent trying to get a contract for one of the Arizona Cardinals WR's in the 90's
