Am I the only Carolina Fan that is getting nervous, especially as the draft is approaching??

1. JP has not signed his tender, which means we cannot trade him on draft day. Even if we could trade him the only team he seems to be interested in that may be willing to draft is NE who, to my knowledge are only offering their 2nd rd pick (34)

2. Jake's performance in the Arizona game coupled with our problems last year has surely highlighted the need to find a QB for the future. Matt Moore is a good QB and did well last year but he is not a QB for the future for us. I am all for giving Jake another chance but at the same time he has had little or no competition for his job. A young QB coming in might light the fire under him again.

3. Thanks to JP taking up so much cap room it's been a difficult offseason. Moose is not getting any younger, and to be honest seems to be more suited to a role like Ricky Proehl did for us. If Dwayne Jarrett gets his act together then we could have someone to compliment Smitty again, which will put more pressure on CB's, but if he hasn't then we're floundering a bit at WR. I know we are not primarily a passing team but we still need options out there.

These are just few of my thoughts from over here in the UK, where news on the NFL is limited to what's on NFL.Com, Panthers.Com, and any other bits and pieces I can find trawling the net. TV coverage over here is limited to those who can afford to pay for Sky Sports. I'm not in that bracket. I watched panthers games on the internet last year.

Anyone wanting to try and bring a ray of hope into my panthers darkness please do so!!!!

BTW I know we have retained all our starters from last year (Mark jones excepted but ST don't seem to count as starters)

Imho Peppers will be traded soon for a next year first round and maybe even more. About the lack of activity i am rather happy with our draft.
Anyway i am not worried Fox is a stubborn but smart coach.
We are working so much on our blocking/running game i wonder if we will even play with a QB next season.

GO PANTHERS!

After seeing what they did in the draft, I am a little happier.

If rumours are to be believed then Everett Brown is a ready to go replacement for Peppers, which now leaves the panthers not having to worry about whether he does or does not holdout.

If he signs and no trades are done this year, great. Slap the franchise on him again next year.

I agree with your saying they're going to use him to get a 1st round pick back next year. At first I wondered what they were doing trading their first round pick twice in a row.

Is next year not supposed to be QB heavy with a lot of decent guys coming out??

Part of me was hoping they might go after Jasper Brinkely as he and casper were terrors when playing on the same team. Although probably unrelated the defensive production of the gamecocks did fall after casper left.

I don't think a rookie can be as good as Peppers but Brown is very promising.
I am still worried with our DTs, we can run over any team with double troubles but they can run us over too and this is a new feeling for the panthers. :/
I want Jenkins and Ruckers back :/
