Honestly it is a guess. I thought I heard that they get the money from that, but I'm not sure. Since I've been here since the Cup started and never had to deal with it, I really have no idea.

I would hope owners got credit for the team's performance during the season that they took ownership, even if some of the performance was before ownership was transfered. I assume since I won three cup games and advanced to the sweet 16 that I will get sweet 16 money, even though I took over ownership after the cup started (I think the round of 128 was my first). It wouldn't be real fair to me to ratio my money to 3/?? wins in the cup because I came in facing harder competition with a reset team. It also wouldn't be fair to owners who took a team already eliminated if you gave me that credit but didn't give them credit for the wins their team did have. The cleanest thing to do is pay the TEAM, and not worry about changes in ownership. That is fair to everyone, IMO.
