And another player bites the dust. Looks like he's given up.

I see that I made some major financial mistakes on this, my first team. It's probably going to go broke before long so I want to cut my losses and start over. I was just going to abandon this account and tried to make a different one but the game wouldn't let me. Do any of you know any way I can ditch this account and start over?

Hate to see that happen(leavin the team)..I too made huge mistakes early on, and it set me back at least a season. But I felt I could get the team out of the whole since I got em in it. So here I am today, with a newly bought year-long supporter account. And two of your players..

Well I got to thinking that it could be more fun to face the challenge of trying to get out of this position. It's extra challenge since I initially sold off a few up and coming stars I had to raise cash once the debt bomb hit. note: hope you enjoy them Hopefully my youth league and careful eye on the market over time can help get the prospects going.

Thanks for the all the words of encouragement and support. It's that type of community that put me over the top and made me decide to hang in there.

oh, it's funny how my craptastic team still did manage to beat the bot team in regular play rofl!

OldEEE,

Good on yer fella. I can tell you that while I didn't make financial mistakes I have made some other huge ones (see post on 'have I missed something'. I have a coaching team of value 1!!!and have had since the start. Every player has always played in his stated position even if it was atrocious. I only realised three weeks ago that you could change their positions. I am now in the process of doing so and have sacrificed promotion to do it. I still don't know everything (check previously mentioned post for further proof).

I would love to start again, but like you I want the challenge of correcting my mistakes. Mine were coaching not financial.

All the best fella

That's the spirit! I made a few minor mistakes aswell, but nothing major and it seems that it all comes down to an extra season of generating income to stadium and the team is back on track

What were your mistakes, exactly, besides building up the only side of your stadium that had seats? Did you overspend on the TL? Common issues. If you post exactly what you did wrong, maybe we can help you along your path of recovery too!

Thanks for the offer! So here's what I see as the biggest mistakes.
-over reacting to being 60k in the hole. I made it back off ads between the weekly game and the friendly. I also had enough to go ahead and bid in on a couple other players.
-perhaps spending a bit more then I should have on coaches. Now that I see it perhaps that will work out in better training however. On that note when do you get to have higher then lvl 1 coaches? When you get a training facility?
-Indeed, constructing on the side where my seats already were. This will work out next week and I can move on. Until then away games are my friend!
-Rushing in to bid on characters before getting at least a better understanding of what I need.
-Once the hole was dug selling off some good talent :/ The money did get me out of the hole but there were 2 good prospects for the future. I actually made a profit on a few of the players I purchased and then resold... well not counting the 2.5k fee. I lost hard on a great player that someone is now enjoying I'm sure.
-I think the biggest thing perhaps was simply not giving the devs enough credit for designing a system that even brash noobs like me can't really mess up all that bad to start /kudos devs

Yeah it's pretty hard to ruin a team. Even if you do, you have a week at under -400,000 to get it back to at -399,999.

As an idea of what can happen in this game if you keep up on construction and stick it out, in the last week I went from 135,000 dollars in the hole to almost 500,000 dollars to the good. One home game and a friendly in a fairly large stadium will do that once the stadium is built up.
