What's the best BPOS rating? 5 stars?

How is that influenced by talent?

Thanks,

Steve

Rating is influenced by talent like all the other stats (with the exception of speed and strength of course)

Yeah, but does a 3 star talent player max out at 3 stars of BPOS? Or is that yet to be determined.

I think not, because I own a lot of players with lesser talent than BPOS reating.

Ok, once again for all of you who missed the discussion in http://www.grid-iron.org/index.php?page=community&subpage=viewt&t=2351&start=10 thread.

Your talent determines how much your maximum skill is past the 10, so 2 star talent means you max at 14 and 4.5 star talent means you max at 19.

It also means your BPOS rating maxes at 14 (case of 2 stars) or 19 (case of 4.5 stars).

As any other skill, your BPOS rating can be as low as 1 and as high as 20.

Thus, each star represents 4 points of BPOS rating. So, if you max at 14 (2 star talent), you`ll max BPOS at (14/4=) 3.5 stars. In the case of BPOS of 19, you`ll se (19/4=) 5 stars because in my experience, the stars are rounded up so a 4.75 stars are shown as 5 star rating.

In short, here`s a table:

Talent (stars)----MAX BPOS(1-20)--------MAX BPOS (stars)
-----0.5-------------------11-----------------------3-----
------1--------------------12-----------------------3-----
-----1.5-------------------13----------------------3.5----
------2--------------------14----------------------3.5----
-----2.5-------------------15-----------------------4-----
------3--------------------16-----------------------4-----
-----3.5-------------------17----------------------4.5----
------4--------------------18----------------------4.5----
-----4.5-------------------19-----------------------5-----
------5--------------------20-----------------------5-----

As for the chance to go up past your BPOS cap, I haven`t seen my players who maxed get any new (half)stars.

I have a player with 1.5* and he have POS rating 3.5*. Players can go past BPOS cap.

From the FAQ;

7. Is it possible for a player to go above his maximum?
It is possible, it's just that much harder for the player to achieve that.
If a player is at his maximum then he has 1 in 3 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 1 then he has 1 in 5 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 2 then he has 1 in 10 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 3 then he has 1 in 20 chance to gain a point/level.
It is impossible for a player to go more than 4 above his maximum.
