for me in both games(rl and GI) OL/DL are the way to build a sucessful squad for the long run.

Agree with Merc. Look at pretty much every team who's good on here or in real life. They have great line play.

After that I'd say QB. A great QB makes the rest of the team that much better. Some may say that a QB is only as good as his WR's. I say the WR's are only as good as the QB. Look at the Patriots teams that won early this decade. Nothing against David Patten, Troy Brown, etc., but those weren't good receivers. Yet they had one of the best passing games in the NFL. Why? Because Tom Brady was a top 3 QB in the NFL.

For me, I want the lines, then the rest of the defense. After that, I'm finding a franchise QB to build the offense around.

The heart of any football team is in the trenches. Great offensive line will take you a long way.....a weak one, 9 out of ten times that team will be mediocre...................Unless your the STEELERS!

Yeah, but isn't the O-line technically 5 players/positions. I'd rather have a stud QB with 4 stud O-linemen & 1 average one than an average QB with 5 stud O-linemen.

Real men are field goal kickers!

The linemen are very important. Other wise your qb will be hurried/sacked often, you won't be able to run the ball, and you won't be able to stop the other team. Your linebackers/safeties should not have to tackle people if you d line does their job.

Very true, the line is 5 people. So with that, I'll say either the right or left tackle, depending on which hand your QB throws with. LT for right handers, RT for left handers. These are the guys who protect the QB's blind side and are the most important in giving him time to operate in the pocket.

And the old addage that defense wins championships!

For Defensive Coordinators, you are making their jobs easy! Do you not thnk that it would be easy to explot that OL in terms of Real life, no?
