I'm new here, so I figured I'd ask this here first just in case I've missed something. If I haven't overlooked something, feel free to move it to suggestions, or I can re-post it there if you prefer.
Shouldn't there be some type of restrictions on special teams roster setup (Orders)? From what I can tell, I'm able to use the same player to fill all Special Team spots, Kicker, punter, both gunners, both kick returners, and both cornerbacks.
I can see some overlap as possibilities, but some positions should be mutually exclusive. The kicker and/or punter should not be able to play gunner as well since both should be on the field for the kicking team at the same time. Likewise, kick returner and cornerback should be on the field for the receiving team at the same time. Also, the same player shouldn't be able to play both gunner spots, or both kick returner spots, or both cornerback spots.
If there is some kind of restriction on this and I've missed it, I apologize, and could someone let me know how I find out about this information.
Thanks

The players positions arent fully exclusive, if you play your kicker at DT for a few games he will switch his favored position, the only restrictions are that of illegal formations, so you cant have one player in two positions at once...

I understand about an offensive or defensive player also playing on Special Teams, what I'm asking about is a special team player playing multiple positions on special teams. I was able to use the exact same player to play EVERY position on special teams at the same time. I didn't get an illegal formation warning despite that some of those positions should be mutually exclusive. How can the same player play Kicker and BOTH Gunner positions at the same time when that should be three players on the field at the same time. I was also able to have the same player play both Kick Returners and both special team cornerbacks at the same time. That's 4 positions on the field at the same time being played by 1 player.
It's possible there's something I'm missing here, and I'm just hoping to find out what if this is the case.
