A player that is played out of position has a penalty but that hasn't been explained how steep that penalty is. However if you continue to play them at the position you think they will be best at, they will eventually switch to that position over time.

Position rating is one of the statistic among other (primary stats etc.) for game engine. If other stats are high position rating doesn't affect as much as it does if the other stats are low.

It depends on how long the player has been playing at their current position. Some it will be just a few games if they're a youth drafted, others it could be a season or more.

The higher the position rating for his primary position, the longer it will take for another position to take over as the primary position.

But basically, I think it's agreed by most on GI that when you start the game, you should switch your players to the position that you think their skills fit best, and then be patient while their primary positions change.

Thanks for the insight. I have to agree with those people as well lol! I just started and when looking through my lineup I had things like a QB with 1 passing, blockers with 2 skill etc. On a plus note tho I have some youngsters with great promise

Hate to break the bad news, but you constructed seats on the side with seats already so you'll get no income from tickets.
