Training strategies and "Focus On"

Hey,

I've read the Training FAQ and am curious to know if there's a received wisdom about training players in terms of whether to use the "Focus On" option. It seems to me it would be better to use the focus option on positions where only one or two skills can dramatically increase a player's effectiveness (maybe passing for QB?), but then again there are other skills necessary for the QB.

Also, what would you go for with o-line training: Defending with focus on blocking? Tackling seems like a bit of a waste, but agility is very good to have.

I use focus on for everything but the tactical skills. the percentage lost doesn't even come close to the amount of potential time lost on training all over the charts

Focus on is the way to go for most players. A QB doesn't really need Catching, WRs don't need passing, defenders don't need blocking etc.

Tactical, Fitness (sometimes) and Kicking (for a punter/kicker combo) might be the common exceptions.

I am with Merc and Steve...

But then I only train Tactical and Fitness....

Depends on position. RB has all fitness, where as CB has speed..

Step forward if you can prove if this is true...
