I'd go for executive seats. They have a better payout ratio in the short run.

The difference between VIP and exec in terms of payout ratio is 0.36% per investment per home league game in favor of exec (0.18% per week, if there is one home game per 2 weeks). Thats not much better. It barely even IS better.

but in large quantities, it really is much better, the difference would stack the more seats you actually made.

The difference between fully built VIP seats and the equivalent amount of exec. seats is 4410$ of income per week (8820$ per home game) in favor of exec seats.

/Using the math from that other topic..... To build all VIP seats, you need 700*3,500=2,450,000$ (for that same amount of money, you`ll get 6125 exec seats). As stated, the difference between the two is 0.18% per week or 0.36% per home league game (per invested $), so the difference from the (((revenueEXEC-maintenanceEXEC)-(revenueVIP-maintenanceVIP))/construction cost)*100% is 0.36%.
0.36%*2,450,000=0.0036*2,450,000$=8820$/

Basically, if you play one full season with 6125 exec seats, you`ll get (9*8,820$=)79,380$ more than if you built 3500 VIP seats.
Just for home league games.

Second of all, don't build at existing seats at the beginnig and "circle around" on empty sides of stadium and later during the season build on smallest side to prevent bigger loss of income (constructing side is closed for visitors).

If you take a look at the match schedule you will find gaps in your home/away matches. Or in other words two away games right after eachother. It takes 15 days to upgrade a stand, so you can use this period to upgrade your excisting stand since you have no home matches. It prevents any loss.

Not all schedules have these gaps (mine did not this season, even if I look through the archives), but they are a very opportune time to upgrade if you have them.

Be careful with the coaches though, I learned the hard way that if you want to upgrade a coach again in the future, you don't get to keep your current coaches skills. So it's like buying a whole new coach again.

That's interesting with the coach's I haven't noticed a difference or I don't remember the number of coachs I hired. Anyway, has anyone else noticed a difference? This should be a different topic, however, I did make a mistake of spending to much on other coaching skills then training. Coach skills in GI is very important as I have discovered by playing and by reading what the vet's have to say about it.

The only thing I suggest is make sure your stadium be build up enough each time before you decided to up grade coaching. You do the obvious your stadium is being built up and you'll be able to cover the cost of coach's salary. Oh, and three if Stud is correct about coach's decrease over time you'll have extra money.

As for seats....I like mixing it all up. I like building general seats at the same time I do vp and ex boxs. I like to thing by building general seats I'm making it possible for the average joe to be able to see the game, like myself. Since it's the general seats that supports my team and are the true fans. Ever sat in soldier field watching the Bears on a wonderful muddy wet freezing below 0 degrees game. Those are true fans.

Sorry for bumping an old topic, but it fits my question.

I'm looking to upgrade my stadium (especially with the increased wages next season) and I've got 250k to spare. Initially I upgraded to 1100 general seats (finished next Sunday).

Is it really advisable to buy exec/vip seats for a new leage V team?

Another question, when does a week (as seen in the economy menu) start?

Thanks for the answers.

Actually, execs and VIP seats should be your first priority as they bring in the most cash. At the end of season, you'll get your end of year money so that can go into stadium as well (in the FAQ's, bottom section)
