Hey guys, I've just joined up, what would you suggest I do with stadium expansion to start off with? One of the stickies in this forum says you should expand straight away; is there a consensus on what type of seat to expand and in what quantity?

I would expand with all of your money, and go for all EXC. boxes.
( don't upgrade the side with the seats but another side)

Just my suggestion, and it's only slightly different than the one you already have gotten. Use all your money to build VIP boxes in one of the endzones. At the end of the year, you should have more than enough money to finish off that section or maybe build another complete section. My methodology is to build one entire section and not come back to it for a while, but you need to jump start that process with some seed money that you can earn through the rest of the season with a quick upgrade. With 250k, you can build 357 VIP seats, and that will only leave you with 393 seats to build in the off season to fill that section of VIP seats (cost: $275,100). Hope all that makes sense.

I would probably upgrade my staff a little, maybe buy a coach with decent defense or fitness training -- do this while you still have a pile of cash and can cover the 10x salary plus signing bonus. Then, with the majority of the money, expand your stadium.

This will kick start your training and your cash flow, IMHO.

I'd go for executive seats. They have a better payout ratio in the short run.

The difference between VIP and exec in terms of payout ratio is 0.36% per investment per home league game in favor of exec (0.18% per week, if there is one home game per 2 weeks). Thats not much better. It barely even IS better.

First build executive and V.I.P., after that you won't need any help.

Second of all, don't build at existing seats at the beginnig and "circle around" on empty sides of stadium and later during the season build on smallest side to prevent bigger loss of income (constructing side is closed for visitors).
