So far myy team has proved to be very inefficient in rush defence. What would be the best formation to effectively stop good RBs?

My next match is against an extraordinary RB who is mostly positioned as center HB. An extra advice for that?

Looks to me like your operating a 5-2 defense (5 d-lineman and 2 outside linebackers) switch it up to a 4-3 or a 3-4 to add a defender in the second level in case the first level misses the tackle on the HB.

In my opinion you never leave a level weak, try to keep them balanced. This also helps in the pass defense also.....5 d-lineman can't help you cover recievers on a pass play, you can only hope that they can prevent the QB from even throwing the ball.

use friendlies to experiment with different formations.

Cut him some slack, HYP. This is what this forum is for.

A few here are not as up to speed with American Football and need a little advice from time to time.

It was not necessarily meant to this guy but there are to many people around here who don't want to put in some effort but at the same time expect maximum result.
I don't know crap- watch the profanity - Merc about Football either and none of us really know how this game works yet. But some of us are putting in effort to learn about the game while others sit back and wait until it pops up on of the forums. You know what I mean??

So my advice to everyone who plays this game: use your friendlies to experiment with formations. Then you will find the best formations suited to your players.

I sure use my frindlies to try different formations and also different players at different positions. But in a friendly I never see the kind of quality offense I see in th cup matches.

Thank you for your help. Yes, I mostly experimented with 5-3, 5-2 or 4-3 and sometimes 1, sometimes 2 safetys. I guess, I will resort to 4-3 for this match as the opposing QB is not much of a thrower.

Thank you very much for the advice!!!
