Well, I'll make Jinto happy. I'm an Auburn Tiger fanatic. I ran a web site until five years ago when our little conglomeration known as SECNation was bought by The Insiders (now Scout.com).

I feel pretty much the same way. My reasoning is probably a little more personal (has to do with scholarships and the way UA handled my situation). My sister is a UA psychology grad, and my brother attended EE school there until he decided a transfer to UAH would be smart. Anyway, I treat everyone as individuals unless they PROVE the stereotypes accurate.

I'm not part of the Auburn-Alabama rivalry, but I treat Michigan fans pretty much the same way you guys treat your rivals. Some of my best friends are UM fans, at least 51 weeks out of the year. Now they do have a lot of idiots, but so does every fanbase. Including OSU.

Yea i just dont see a point in treating someone bad just cause they happen to be a fan of a team i hate cause that would mean i would also need to be evil to my dad with me an Eagles fan and his a Dallas fan

Here goes some Texas A&M history( credits from wikipedia, no way I'm going to type this xD ).

"This tradition began at the 1930 Midnight Yell Practice, held before the football game against the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs. In an attempt to fire up the crowd, Pinky Downs, a 1906 Texas A&M graduate and member of the school's Board of Regents, asked "What are we going to do to those Horned Frogs?" He answered his own question, "Gig 'em, Aggies!" (in this case meaning to spear them with a pronged fishing spear called a gig). For emphasis, he made a fist with the thumb extended. The phrase and hand signal proved popular, and it became the first hand sign of the Southwest Conference."

i cant help but laugh at that but Texas has a lot of strange things like the Dallas Cowboys Texas U and others "Big" things

but i guess being a Yankee (Illinois Born) and living in Alabama i wouldnt know anything about that stuff....but seems like fans back int he 1900-1930 had too much football time on there hands as a lot of tradition in college football comes from this time or earlier
