the team freakin RUNS with the ball at 4th and 7. the QB no less. 38 yds from the endzone. SHOULDN'T IT BE A FG OR A PUNT?

You can put rush attempt from 5 yards - to never on going for it on 4th down. You probably told them to go for it and so they did

That being said they automatically go for it when on opponents half unless they are in FG distance (which is how far you set it).

You can set these settings on "orders" under special team

but it was on your half of the field outside of FG range but inside of the 40 yard line therefore you automatically go for it.

Is that not a bad automatic rule? How many NFL teams would go for a 4th down conversion just inside their own half? If you don't get it then you're giving the other team easy points surely?

That topic was discussed again and again, without any other result than:

1.) yes, it is not like in real life

2.) no, the admins will not change it yet.

You have to deal with it...

If you concede points to drives that start at your opponents own 40 as automatic then the rule isn't your biggest issue

Your original statement said that they started inside the 40 at the players own half. Even if they went 3 and out, that would mean they have a kickable field goal which equals automatic points
