I had no involvement or influence in the project, so if you prefer not to proceed, feel free to delete the question. However, before deletion, could we consider the possibility? It's just an idea.

If I understand correctly, the game's survival relies on continued support from supporters. Given the apparent likelihood of the project's failure, it seems imminent. In such a scenario, the current owner stands to lose the game anyway, without incurring any further costs or generating income. However, the owner would also be relieved of concerns about the game itself and could close the chapter. I'm curious as to why, in this situation, the owner doesn't transfer the game to new owner(s) and negotiate a percentage of profits. This way, his game (his child) could survive in a different home, and the original owner could still witness its growth.

We already try it...

But the owner wants his money right away.

And any kind of money in the given amount would require investors that would spit in extra for development and running costs for the first couple of seasons.

If the buy-out project pursued the course you're suggesting, there would either be no development costs (eg. the owner making money) or development costs (eg. no profit to share). So either stay on the steady slope of decline or a new slope of losses.

In that case I am sure the game will dye. And as far as I am concern, I decided not to be a supporter any more

If I were the owner I'd see two potential buyers:

1. The community of managers
2. A new "landlord".

Given what it might cost a new landlord to boost the number of game players and recoup his initial outlay it seems inconceivable that anyone would take that on.

So that leaves us. And we're not buying at the asking price. Hmm.

I think this game can continue to run for many many years.
The Owner has shown commitment by migrating the game to a new server. This was an expense that was necessary to keep the game alive. If The Owner wouldn't see a future for this game he would have pulled the plug in stead of paying for the server migration.

Given the lack of attention by the owners and the disregard for the community, I stopped my supporter account also a couple of months ago.

So if the owner won't sell, what are they doing to improve / repair / sustain the game as it is?
