Why is blocking a defensive tactic? Shouldn't it be an offensive one for the o-linemen?

I think everyone's just getting a bit confused with this.

Basically, just tell your OL to train blocking.

It happens alot when trying to tell people in real life that the offensive linemen defend the QB

that made no sense. The defensive lineman are trying to block there QB? defense doesn't have a QB. LMAO

You made no sense BolsterSam....The OL are defending their QB by blocking out the DL.

And a DL wants to tackle the QB...

so Tackling training for DL
and Blocking training for OL

To some extent, yes.

But the players in these positions will also need alot of strength. I've got it as:

OL: Strength - Footwork - Blocking
DL: Strength - Tackling

I know blocking's for O-linemen, Im not that dumb, i just thought the defending part in training was just 4 defensive tactis, that's all
