I know that in the rule book it says that players can go above their maximum talent level in non-physical skills.
But, this case also applies for the physicals (Speed, Strength and Agility) ?

Agility is included in that, but speed and strength have their own (unknown until you reach them) caps which could be as low as 9 (I haven't seen lower yet).

Yes, that is good to know. I found a player with red cap at 9 means i'm " lucky"
But can they go over once they reach the red cap?

No. Once a player is capped in speed or strength, that player can go no further. Only supporters can see these caps, but non-supporters can manually monitor the progress.

Your player with a capped 9 is rare and should be discarded or used in a position that would not need that physical skill. But since we not very little about which physical skills are needed for positions, it could be a gamble.

Damn, that is not good.
Still, i will make a test at a point with a player and give him a max of 5 training and if he will go over, i will let you guys know.
I asked a couple of months ago, if a player hits his cap at 18 at speed as example, and if after some more training at strength or fitness he will gain up to 18.99 that there is no difference. So i will give it a shot to see if in 5 trainings he will go up to 19 perhaps.
Thank you.

red cap stars essentially means to stop. Even regular skills can not go any higher than red cap stars. When they hit their 'soft' cap for talent limit, the star turns yellow. That means the skill can still increase, but it may be difficult. It may take a few times to actually increase. But once the star turns red, the skill will not go to the next whole skill number, ever. You can change the percentage number on it (the numbers after the decimal), and this will help with physical skills when the player ages enough to start losing skill points, but that's the only benefit.

Thank you.
That is good to know, because the manual does say that clearly.
So, if a player has 4* talent and he reaches 18, the only way he can go up to 19 is if the star in the training details is yellow and if it's red he can't grow anymore.

I checked the strength and speed for my players and everyone has a red star, so that means they can't go higher at those.

The math for max skill is (and I can not find it yet) that based on the talent of the player, the player hts a "soft" cap. I believe that it is:

5 star: 20
4,5 star: 19
4 star: 18
3,5 star: 17

Until a player reaches his "soft" cap, he will go to the next integer (GI only plays with integers, not decimal numbers). So a 4,5 talent player will go from 17.99 to 18.01, but from 18.99 to 19.01 the chances are reduced. He might go from 18.99 to 18.01 om a training. If he gets to 19.99, the chances for going to 20.01 is reduced. I do think that the chance is halved for each 'level' above the "Soft" cap.

Speed and strength do NOT have these "Soft" caps. They have "Hard" caps that can not be overruled.

It is stated in the Help/FAQ:

FAQ that forgot how talent is displayed wrote:

What about the player's talent. How does that effect the training?Talent has no direct influence on training as such. It does however limit how high a player can reach in his skills. If a player has talent;
1 (uh... divided by 2 = 0.5 star) then his maximum is 11
2 then his maximum is 12
3 then his maximum is 13
4 then his maximum is 14
5 then his maximum is 15
6 then his maximum is 16
7 then his maximum is 17
8 then his maximum is 18
9 then his maximum is 19
10 then his maximum is 20

The only 3 exceptions to this rule are speed, strength and stamina. Speed and strength are limited by a hidden maximum value (different for each player) that represents the maximum value player can reach even if he trains with weights each and every day. Stamina is not limited at all, and with extensive physical (fitness) training every player can reach 20 in stamina.

FAQ that talks about Soft Caps wrote:

Is it possible for a player to go above his maximum? It is possible, it's just that much harder for the player to achieve that.
If a player is at his maximum then he has 1 in 3 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 1 then he has 1 in 5 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 2 then he has 1 in 10 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 3 then he has 1 in 20 chance to gain a point/level.
It is impossible for a player to go more than 4 above his maximum.

The soft cap does apply to agility, just not for speed and strength. And stamina has no cap. It can always go to 20, though not recommended due to bug.

Common practice is to only train stamina to 19, there is a bug where if someone has 20 stamina, occasionally they'll play very poorly
