I am still new to this game. Trying to go through the fourm to learn some tricks of the trade...

Have a big question. Does a Fullback help? I have been running with one, but I am not sure if it makes much of a difference. How can you tell the impact having one makes? Thanks.

In the normal game a FB would help a lot as it's an extra blocker for your main runner. At this moment in time i have not seen anything that will tell you whether you are better having one or not.

The only real way to tell is to try it with and without. I recently played a game against my league leading team without a FB but with 1 HB/R and 1 HB/L and I won 27-0.

If you do put one in then make sure he has key skills in place. EG blocking and strength.

Anytime you want a friendly gimme a shout.

i can tell a huge difference

but my fullback has 6 blocking and 15 strength, that could have something to do with it.

I personally haven't seen any difference. I used to run a wishbone and was fairly successful with that, now I run a pro set with no FB and am fairly successful with that. May be the formations I've used, but I saw no real difference with and without the FB.

But I agree that you should play some with and some without and see what you're most successful with. Just make sure not to try one against bots and the other against humans or your results will be skewed.

i wanted to know becuase i want to use a FB to help protect the QB and the run; so is it better to have the FB to the center or to a side and if so to the side away or to the side of the TE?

I have tried both 2 TE and a FB, and my running game seems to have been more effective with the FB. This is purely anecdotal evidence, though, and I'm sure someone else has had the opposite experience.
