With some of your other posts on financial challenges I have been wondering if this early exit would mean a selloff?

I've run the numbers too many times, my team could not afford an early cup loss with 6 out of 10 away to start the season. I had to win that last cup game or it would be over with the next two weeks also away. Hopefully, some of my talent will help other teams

Hmm. I think I'm in control of my game this week but my division IV opponent has been finding good success on the ground keeping it a 42-21 game at the half.

The random cup draw isn't doing me any favors in the next round as my presently #16 ranked Clayton Bears in Reaus' rankings draws #15 Kaz who hasn't exactly had an easy draw himself this cup tournament. Win or lose I have to say I am still in favor of the unpredictable match ups that can allow a lower ranked team to pull in a lot of cash or a higher ranked team have to make some unplanned salary cuts to make up for lost revenue. I know many don't share that opinion.

Last season I faced 4 Top Division teams and 1 D.II team on a run to the finals. This season I've face a bot, 2 D.V teams and 1 D.IV team coming up. I've gotten easy runs like this year and bad runs like 2 years ago with a loss in an early tough, tossup matchup. IMO it all balances out.

However, at roughly $50 million in the bank an early exit won't kill me financially either which, I am aware, is a luxury not everyone has.

After a good run of cupcakes it looks like I'm done next round, away to a good D2 team.

Ah well it's good money for my very much undeveloped team

I've been stuck in financial limbo the last few years because of early cup exits

I've often thought of just starting over, half for the fun of it and half because I wish I had built a financial kingdom first, rather than arriving in TD with about 10 million. However, there's always that one guy on the roster that you just have to see develop. Currently, that's my British QB named Milne. One of the best QB prospects I've had and I have had some really good ones. For now we'll keep at it, even if I demote, which is highly likely at this point, I still will enjoy watching him blow up the league in a few more seasons

Out of the cup. Not unexpected against a higher league team. Oh well, there's always next season.

Final 16 are set. Here is the breakdown of the number of teams remaining by division:

Top Division - 3
Division II - 9
Division III - 4

Boston Patriots next round. Maybe the 3rd time is the charm.
