Good for him. His body has taken enough abuse.

The best part about Romo's retirement is I'll no longer have to listen to Phil Simms on CBS' #1 game each week.

He got injured even behind the league best O-line and one of the best Offense, he was never going to have such a good supporting cast around him wherever he could have signed.
Very good player by the way

All it takes is one good hit to get hurt and that's a matter of bad luck.
All it takes to get hurt repetitively behind a good offensive lines is:
1. Inability to audible to cover the blitz.
2. Inability to avoid the blitz
3. Lack of flexibility training to be able to take the hits
4. Holding on to the ball too long in concert with point 1.
There's a bunch of reasons why Romo gets hurt annually, and we'll see what happens with Dak, but the root cause of being injury prone isn't being a good to great player. It's being too reliant on talent and not putting in the work to take care of yourself.
I agree that Romo is a very good player when upright, but he's got gronk disorder.
