if a player has a 1 star talent rating does that mean that he can only reach a maximum of 11 in for example catching?

well sort of, they hit a soft cap at 11 but have a small chance to make it up to 15 overall. Please check the FAQ for the exact percentages.

With one star I can reach 12 and not 11, right ?
1 star --> 12
2 stars --> 14
3 stars --> 16
4 stars --> 18
5 stars --> 20
Maybe I'm confusing ...

6. What about the player's talent. How does that effect the training?
Talent has no direct influence on training as such. It does however limit how high a player can reach in his skills. If a player has talent;
1 then his maximum is 11
2 then his maximum is 12
3 then his maximum is 13
4 then his maximum is 14
5 then his maximum is 15
6 then his maximum is 16
7 then his maximum is 17
8 then his maximum is 18
9 then his maximum is 19
10 then his maximum is 20
Please read the FAQ

Half is 11, 1 is 12, 1 and a half is 13, etc. Not a very tough concept... But bapt you are right, and duco you are also right. In the fact they don't list halves, and stars flat do go by intervals of 2.
