I had a serious close call in the regional cup today, winning by the barest of margins at 7-0. Does anyone have any thoughts about how to rejuvenate my offense? I mean we have gone from scoring an average of 35 points per game down to 17 total in the last 2 games. Defensively were okay, we have several shutouts and the most points given up is 21 in the season opener. I really hate to tinker with the offense in midseason, but the strain on my defense is getting worse all the time. I know the obvious solution is pass the ball more, but its a different style of attacking that may require a retooling of the whole unit, and thats dangerous to do in mid season. My most immediate project will have to be finding a back to pair with my playmaker and take some pressure off of him.Last edited on 2009-02-11 at 23:57

I would not worry too much as you know your defence played well and not sure what his set up is but 4th and 10 at 0-0???? you scored just after that so thank your lucky stars you did not get pinned into your own 20 to start the drive

It just looks like a good tactical match up to me meaning the game was always going to be close. I beat the league winners 0-3 last season and thats exactly how I called it - one score would win it.
