Colts Offseason - What do you think should they do ?

Hoping i'm not the only one interested by the choices the Colts will made, here is what I think the Colts should do (Re-signing Luck is too obvious) :

TE's: Keep Allen & Doyle, and let Fleener go.

With 3 capable WR (I still believe Dorsett will be a good receiver) they don't have a need for a pass catching-first TE, especially with drops concerns. Allen is far more complete and efficient, and Doyle has proven to be a capable backup.

Veteran busts :

Release T.Cole & restructure A.Johnson and A.Jones
Cole is simply useless. Johnson can be a teacher for Moncrief and Dorsett. Jones has to get paid as player of his level of playing time .

Draft :

Go BPA on defense in the first round. Interior O-linemen don't go very high in the draft and can wait to the 2nd round. Then they can draft a RB waiting 1 or 2 years behind Gore to learn the job, or some other development prospect at OLB, DB, OL or DL. (that means defense except jobs occupied by Vontae Davis, Jerell Freeman, or some Stanford DL)

I think they should have parted ways with their GM. Outside of drafting Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton, his draft picks and free-agent signings have been, at best, underwhelming.

And the Colts have reportedly told Andre Johnson he will be released.

Buy up any middle of the pack player or better that isn't a QB. Middle of the pack will be an upgrade everywhere. Luck cannot win championships by himself.

They finally got Allen back, though it didn't come cheaper.

Yes, it seems like they are cutting Johnson and restructuring Cole, just as the opposite of what i thought

Grigson was praised for his 2012 draft, now that Chapman and Ballard are already gone, and fleener will sign elsewhere, i would agree that he is not worth that 4 year extension.

Pagano is an interesting case, since he is not a very good coach (Luck has been a better HC for the Colts than Pagano) it seems that players like him ( I hope so ), so he's worth a 2nd chance.

Well, to my mind, at WR,TE,LT, CB1,SF & ILB, it wouldn't be true. We still have to figure out if the Stanford rookies on the DL will establish themselves as the long-term answers.

But yeah, plenty of holes on the OL, front seven (ILB are olds) and no depth at CB.

Grigson needs to understand ( how to do his job ?) that Peyton went to the Super Bowl by not getting hit too much times, and with guys knowing how to play defense ( Broncos, or guys like Gary Brackett, Freeney, Mathis, Bethea and the Eraser...)

So the draft has been and gone and I'm wondering who people who follow this division closely think will win the AFC South next year???

If Osweiler isn't a complete flop, I'd have to say the Texans have a good chance to repeat.

Personally I hope they prepare to lose the first game of the season at home to the Lions, after that I'll allow them to start winning.

Colts didn't draft well enough for much improvements. Their first 2 picks where good. But after that was just roster depth players. Maybe starters in 3-4 seasons.

at least they drafted a bunch of ol's which was the biggest point to improve should give luck hopeful more time to play like he should. Ridgeway (4th rounder) could be nice a bunch of people agree that he could be a 1st or 2nd round pick if he had stayed one more year at Texas. Clark made a good job in blocking as far as i have seen and in the colts OL this could mean a insant starter combined with kelly should help very well xD
But they did nothing for there pass rush and a 2nd good CB is still missing aswell as a player who replace Freeman this could be pretty bad there Offense has to carry the defense once again then everything is possible.

I hope the colts will win the AFC south but the texans and the jax could be pretty annoying there jax had good improvments in draft & FA if they stay heathly they could make a playoff run this should be at least way way way more interesting then the last couple of years. I go with luck

Doubtful. Texans just sneaked past them last season with no QB, a broken RB and only 1 WR. Now Texans have a QB, a good RB and 2x WRs. The Colts haven't done enough to "improve" compared to the Texans.

Although the whole division I think will be up for grabs. I think the Jags and Titans will be vastly improved over last season. And I think the Colts have been found snoozing on their opposition.
