Is there a difference in the match engine between the various offensive lineman? i.e would you want to put your best OL at LOT to protect your QB? Or is the engine not sophisticated yet?

If it isn't, is this something they are looking at doing?

I play my Linemen where every I want regardless of lack of speed or strength. I know that many believe that the difference in speed, agility and strength is catered in the Game Engine and therefore, put their players in positions to account for this...

I guess the real question is -- has anyone moved a player around the various OL positions and seen a different that isn't due to just Consistency.

I haven't seen any significant different yet, but the difference may just be really small.

For me, I play faster lineman on the edges to counter speedy DE's and slower lineman in the interior line to matchup with DL's and NT's.

I still allow alot of QB pressures so my theory might not be worth a darn.Might have to do with footwork or lack of.

If we had gaurds that pulled, I would add speed to the interior also.

My view on this, is just about what everyone else has said so far. I'd prefer having more agile(agility/speed/footwork) linemen at the outer positions and keep the stronger, less agile, in the middle to stop the brute force of DT's.

i play my best OL in the direction i attack

ie, if for that game im attacking down the center, my best OL will be in the middle
but if i decide to go to the right flank, ill place them there
