Another observation is the great O-Line play. No sacks and 2 pressures against a 5 man front, 1 from either end. Very solid. Looks like Drummond has stabilised the centre position.

Yeah, I meant to mention that - awesome. This was not much of a problem last cycle but if they keep that up it'll be very good.

I had Johnson in there due to his INT but looks like VIS or POS trumps that - looks like a clear upgrade!

Yeah and along with that, Johnson has regressed to the point to where he's the worst offensive linemen on the team, which is unfortunate. It happens to everyone who makes it this far on a human team I guess.

Garrick right? He's still on a bot team. You talking about stam?

Last I saw, and I imagine it's still the same since both are still on bots, Johnson was a point better on STR, 4pts better on spd (might not even count), 4 down on stam, 1 down on footwork, 6 on POS and 4 on VIS, but he was 13 up on INT.

So if we assume an OL is defined by -

1/ STR, Ag, Stam, foot, blk and VIS then Drummond is 8 up
2/ STR, Ag, Stam, foot, blk and POS then Drummond is 10 up

Seems one of those might be the case. See how the next few matches go.

Btw, I thought Slovenia would be easy beats but Poland just scraped by them just now. Tough road ahead!

I remember Drummond being a 8 spd 9 str 16/17yo small fry many seasons ago. Now an old bloke going strong at 33.

No way Poland and Slovenia should have been that close. But both sides might be closer than we think. They both rely heavily on bot scabs to make up their rosters.

Yeah I'd assumed he'd regressed over the course of last cycle and his team just went bot or something, considering that he was still being used last season. Either way, I rate Drummond and just about every other Linemen we have above Johnson. He doesn't strike me as an NT starter.

Johnson was only a borderline starter in his prime. Considering his physicals now. It is understandable how you view him.

If the match ratings are anything to go by, Norway don't look as if they are a long way behind, but it's still surprising that they kept up. I noticed that they did have a defensive end who gained a full star.

Slovenia on the othet hand I'm more surprised with. Their D looks below average (once again looking at match ratings)

But then again, what sort of indicators are match ratings?

An interesting thing to note given Johnson was dropped, I had the same amount of former/current players on both the Norway and Australian team playing. Anas Bru (35 year old DL) and Liam Tunheim (31 year old linemen) are both former players, whilst Flynn Johnstone lined up at safety while Nick Chatres snuck into KR.

It's a pity about Garrick. I got him late in his career and his tacticals were non-existent and his blocking/agility were subpar also. Got the blocking/agility up to the softcaps and did the best I could with tacticals, but he never hit his full potential and was already 29ish when he made the team.

On another note, I've always been a massive fan of Jayden Schneider. I'm fairly sure I'm the one that either brought him in or otherwise found him and passed him to project (could be wrong about this though), and I used him extensively during my tenure as a coach. He's also the reason why I train positioning on WRs now after the rest is done, cause I couldn't quite understand why he would usually perform so great (even though he's got some nice things going for him).

To this day though, I'm still shitty about this other young 20/15 5* WR Lucas Taylor that was left on a bot team at 16 skills that I found around the same time. He was so good, he still made the team at the time as a backup, but alas, botdom. Man, I also remember the cyle or two before that was when we brought in Ethan Gibson & Marco Watters. Our WR core was so amazing at the time we had to leave Watters out. Cartledge, Schneider, Gibson, et al. We didn't have anything below 4.5* BPOS, and they were all pretty decent in other areas too. Our TEs were also pretty good, though we lacked depth. Archie and Anderson somewhat defying the paper stats and doing what they did. That was also the time of Mitch Watt and the rise of Bryan Bandy. Wow, what a powerhouse offence! Nostalgia goggles definitely taking over, given we still have a good team (and have noticeably improved in other areas).

Also, both my TEs play for Slovenia and Poland (though the Polish TE is yet to debut/maybe won't play at all). I've got my fingers in the pie of all teams in this group!

I'd watch out for the Slovenian one though. He's not perfect by anymeans, but he's pretty decent (check out the 600+ yards he pulled on Canada last cycle when he was less skilled). He's got that X factor somehow, and you can also see him at both TE and WR (he seems to play WR for this current coach).

They were all part of our strongest showing. Oh the glory days. haha

But the new kids will do a as good job. QB Welsh will take over sometime in the future and I have a well know hybrid TE/WR not in the NT roster sitting out this cycle that will probably eclipse any TE we have previously fielded. He he sitting on the sidelines with 2 non fitness skills at 19. And positioning will be 19 by the end of the season/start of the WC finals.

Defense will be interesting in the coming cycles, final run for most of our long term starters this cycle. No idea about a replacement MLB.

Remember when our LB group sucked so bad? haha Our second best LB was a 4.0* bpos LB with 16 spd and 17 str whom played MLB. Good ole Lucca MacGregor.

Buckley should take over one of the OLB spots, and Greenwood might get the other. Definitely not sure about MLB though. Overall our offense should be good for a while. Plenty of good up and comers. D-Line, MLB and secondary are causes for concern though.

Didn't realize all our DLs were 29yo. Some of those 18/17 ones don't really matter. They should have been switched to OLBs by their managers long ago.

Greenwood was gonna be a DL. But when he capped at 17 str, he switched to LB. He is full bpos in both, but I doubt he'll ever see time at DL again.

Greenwood's little bro will be a good MLB. But he is still a generation away. Just as fast and strong as Reid. And no player in the game could be more intelligent than him. IF you catch my drift.

I've also got a CB Wall replacement, but again a generation away.
