So what level of kicking do you think a kicker would need to make a 38 yard field goal?

My one has kicking 8, 32 yards or so was the longest! Remember: Kicking 6 means nearly a quarter of 20, and kicking 20 is the max. IMHO a kicker needs much more than kicking 8 and some other skills too!

There was a kicker yesterday who made a 49(or 48, don't remember which) yarder with 6 kicking.

The early guess, vision is highly important for kickers as well, as he had low kicking, low strength, and high vision.

As far as what level kicking you need to consistently made long ones, I'd say easily 10 or above.
