So I am going to test the FA market later this week and release an absolute beast onto the market, who is a 5* BPOS player at DT, LB, S & CB.

As an international player he will become a FA and therefore I will gain nothing from his sale.

Based upon recent sales within the FA market, he should easily become the most sort after player of recent times and will cost a huge amount of money.

Those managers paying millions for players with one leg, will queue around the block like toilet roll hoarders, looking to bid for the best defensive player this site has ever seen on the market.

I think this player's availability on the market will be a nice test...

Hitting the market at 10.30am today and therefore last bids take place on Saturday around 10.30am

Also please bear in mind that while I am conducting this little experiment, I am also losing my best defensive player for nothing, whist sat at the top of my division...

I think you're overselling him. Very good player, no doubt, but he's one way (only STCB possible and he has no blocking skills) and he will cost unnecessary 20k per week more due to his Footwork hitting 20 next season.

I sell similar players often near the end of the season. They don't bring that much money. That was when the transfer market was more active. I think it's simply due to age.

If you mean Gregor Wright 30 LB 5* as the guy you are raving about, he is old, and after he becomes 31 his physicals start to drop so he is useful for like maybe 1/2 a season in this tin pot game?

Yep, a guy who has a 5* BPOS rating for every defensive position, so he can cover any defensive injury a team has and also helps any team change their formation to fit any match-up.

His physicals are so high that he will be useful for at least another two seasons after this one.

Ho hum, each to their own...

So my guy ended up cost less (far less in most cases) than all of the other less talented players and going to a club not involved in those sales.

Rofl, maybe as your guy was significantly older? Try selling one of you mid twenties guys ;-)

Szczepan Czechowicz is 30 and cost $1.34m
Kamil Bartków is 29 and cost $3m
Albert Pastuszek is 29 and cost $5m

Obviously totally mad prices as the none of them were 5* BPOS and the first two would not be starting on my team.

To be fair, your player was / is retiring after this season, so in theory, you could only get 8 league games out of him before he retires.

The other players are old yes... And I share your concern regarding funneling money to needing teams, but if you must show an exsample, the test should be based on similar factors.

Also, who pays mad money for a QB in a game in which QB are no longer so important. One has been sold for $25m and another for $10m recently

Come on, if Gregor Wright gets cut from the UK team...

I suppose Stevie76 is the manager, which would be amusing
