To be fair, your player was / is retiring after this season, so in theory, you could only get 8 league games out of him before he retires.

The other players are old yes... And I share your concern regarding funneling money to needing teams, but if you must show an exsample, the test should be based on similar factors.

Come on, if Gregor Wright gets cut from the UK team...

I suppose Stevie76 is the manager, which would be amusing

If Gregor needs to be around for more than this season, he needs to find a BOT-destined team. If he is on a human team, he will retire on week 19 this season.

You learn something new everyday, I thought that if you were due to retire, but were an international, you wouldn't retire...

I also thought this was the case.

This is the case. My 37yo QB is NT and he stuck around after the end of last season.

So I learned two things today...

1) My run defense sucks.
2) NT players stay forever... I thought that if the NT player was on a human team that they do retire... Looks like being NT coach has its perks anyway!

Phew...

Glad I was right, hence the reason I believe Gregor Wright is such a great FA pick up compared to the other overpriced guys who have been picked up recently.

Well, yeah, that's how it works, but NT players, like any other human team players, lose fitness and agility down to 12. Most positions will not like that by age 37 for the national team roster. The nice thing about NT players on bot teams is they don't lose the fitness

In TeamHB I have a 41 y/o player who is a NT player. He has been trying to retire for about 8 seasons. haha!
They can lose down to 12 but eventually there comes a point where they stop declining. They stay as long as they are on the NT.
