It would be interesting to know which of the above OL players performed the worst in your game.

Their pos. rating would help a lot as well, bc higher pos. rating could compensate a lower skill level.

If you look at the game boxscores you can see the defenses position played and see who was the OL that did not do well.

ehm...my CBs have stamina 5 and 7...

CB/R - Dominik Held was matched up against WR/L - Bennet Stefan. He burned you for almost 200 yards. That was the hole in your defense, otherwise you completely shut down his offense.

Obviously, there are issues with your offense on why you only scored 7 points.

Agility is great, but I would increase their tactical skills first. I believe that the tactical skills are huge for Corners, but I am sure many will disagree. Increase the speed of the second player, too.

i think speed is a big factor for CBs, rarely get burned for the huge gains anymore (i.e the 1 pass for 78yrds).

on my team, I pick what I feel are the best suited players for position, based on key skills. Linemen for example, are strength, blocking and agility. On defense, strength, tackling, and agility. Vision of course has its place, and one other thing, if your QB is right handed, your best pass blocker should be at LT to cover his blindside. Backs, well speed, agaility and carrying are the main 3 that I look for. Since the faster a back is, the less time the lineman needs to hold his block for the back to get through the whole. Receivers, there you want spped and catching for obvious reasons. I have seldom used a tight end, I just never got much production out of that position. Linebackers, I look for speed, agility and tackling While for DBS I look for speed, vision and tackling.
You can make up to a certain extent on training, but there you have to spend money on better coaches to make it worthwhile. Overall, you could improve your team greatly by shuffling players just a bit. What you do is look at their attributes and divide them into speed players, as opposed to strength players to fill your line and backfield. I hope this helps.

First guy looks pretty decent to me. I'd like my CBs to be a little faster and perhaps a little better Positioning, Footwook and Catching -- but there are no perfect players at this point in the game. Also, I don't know for sure how the game engine simulates the WR vs. CB matchup.

I would say the second guy is way too slow. Honestly, I'd probably be playing this guy at backup QB rather than CB.

Not sure which one is CB/R - Dominik Held, maybe he's the second guy and WR/L - Bennet Stefan was just much faster than him. If he's the first guy, then maybe Stefan is just a total stud (2.5 stars WR with $ 3,500 p/w salary -- he's probably not bad).

According to my experience speed, tackling and catching are important for a CB. ... At least this is, what I observed.

Strength is not necessary. CB guys are usually similar to WR guys, with not much strength. Your 1st has too high intelligence as well, so I would rather try him as an LB.

Catching for CB's? Where has all this nonsense came from?

I hope not from my FAQ....because I was meant to ammend that.

In the skills script we marked it as important too, but not as VERY important. Maybe Merc made this because the CB wants to intercept the ball and therefor he needs catching?!
