I figured even if you have supporter, it's not suitable for long press releases. Here is your chance to introduce new players or farewell former stars before, after, or during the season. You can make it as serious or as ridiculous as you want (or both). I will start.

26/11/2014 - Jinx roster re-focus heralds change!

**The farewell of a star, but could this lead to greater things?**

With the conclusion of season 17 occurring, the time for teams to trim hard ahead of wage increases has arrived. With such circumstances also arise the chance for some teams to hit the market and improve or renew areas of their team in need.

One such area for the Jinx was the MLB position. Whilst long time club member and capped Belgian national player Kyllian Maetens has the attributes and skills to hold down this position, a second top tier MLB was required to supplement the team's flexible defence - a defence which has swapped between 3-4 and 4-3 several times during the season. This position was held by veteran Emilio Joshi, a steadying hand to the sometimes more enthusiastic approach of Maetens. Joshi was a true, lightning fast, star who earned his call up and starting position on the USA National Team during his tenure at the Jinx.

Alas, in accordance to the club's policy of not offering fully paid contracts to players over the age of 30 (a landmark Joshi was soon to hit), the tough decision was made to let him go and seek an immediate replacement. We hope Emilio will continue to have a good career at his new club, Baryonyx, where he will team up with fellow USA teammate QB Allen Phipps. Oceania fans will note that this is also the new home of an improved Elijah Walsh, Australian NT Safety, and also Pedro Pinto Gomez, a former Convict.

In seeking a new replacement for the outgoing Joshi, several criteria needed to be met by the transfer department. The new player needed to be explosive, intelligent, and consistent in everything he did. When interviewed about the matter, coach Daudy took inspiration from some of his fellow Oceania Top Div competitors. "I take a look at some of the successful old hands in this league and what do I see? A token Italian Linebacker. Kamikaze has one. The Wildcats had one from the Bucs days, then hired another one as the first one was getting old/retiring. There's a theme here, and we need one to reclaim the league!"

This appears to have been a plan in motion for some time at the Jinx. Young Italian prospect Gennaro Aurelio is being groomed to be a star MLB with his physicals and near perfect (39!) combo of Intelligence and Consistency. However, there was a need for a made player right here and now. One that followed the above criteria set by the transfer department. Three linebackers on the market over the last few days roughly fit. Two Germans and an Italian... the stars were aligning.

Enter Fabrizio Cipriani.

An Italian international, Cipriani is as explosive and as speedy as the youthful Aurelio, and goes one better in the Intelligence/Consistency department with a perfect score of 20 in both. He shows good tactical awareness and lightning feet, and whilst there is a little bit of roughness around the edges that can be smoothed, he was the best player out of the three and also an Italian linebacker. "It was a thin margin between Cipriani and the two Germans." said Coach Daudy. "One, Jan Alberß formerly of MrCasado's Finance Experts, was a decent build but lacked a little in some departments that you can't train. We also honestly forgot to wake up in time for that auction and missed it by an hour. The other, Joachim Huth formerly teammate of Cipriani at the now gutted Lens Werewolves, had slightly rougher edges than Cipriani that needed smoothing, and was plainly not Italian enough. We honestly think we got the best one out of the three, and he means we join the Italian linebacker club." Coach Daudy would not respond against the rumours that he made a deal with another club named American Bigfoot (who picked up Joachim Huth) to keep transfer fees low.

So there you have it. Jinx finally on a level playing field with an Italian linebacker on the field. Rumour has it though, that Italian safeties are the new fad with the Wildcats leading the way on the market yet again.

**In other transfer headlines**

The RB/KR department has experienced a bit of a shakeup lately. Mature aged rookie Wilfrid Tait has come into the team, and due to his near pension age but otherwise stellar physicals and talent, will be claiming one of the RB/KR spots on the team. Dutch International RB Tijs van Mierlo is also a new arrival, combining excess talent, great physicals, a good consistent performance, at a low wage. He joins starting UK International WR Jacob Barratt as candidates for Coach Daudy to overtrain given Australia's latest World Cup matchups (just kidding).

As a result, Czech RB/KR Gabriel Kocourek has collected his final pay cheque at the club. A quick check over the list reveals that Kocourek is the 2nd Czech player to leave the club this season, prompting rumours that the polívka in the club's cafeteria is well below par. Beastly RB/KR and longtime starter for the club, Heinrich Arzt is also strongly rumoured to be looking for a move away from the club but has been unable to find a suitable location.

Also making the rounds on the rumour mill are the potential exits of DL Antonio Jesus Azqueta (again) and TEs Mac Coombs or Rafael Marchut (or both). The potential departure of both TEs come from certain performance/build nitpicks in the eyes of Coach Daudy (plus age being a near future factor for Mr. Coombs), but seem unlikely given the general drivel available on the market.

The official rumours surrounding Jesus is that he's too highly paid for an interior DL (mind you, one with a combined 39/40 physicals) who only plays sporadically (if the club plays 4-3) and would like to cash him in whilst he still has one full season of decline free performance. Our exclusive sources reveal that it's actually over an internal team dispute when the club's heirarchy discovered that Mr Azqueta was not, in fact, actually the real deal Jesus from various religious texts. This was allegedly discovered when staff had run out of wine and went to him to generate some more and he was unable to do so. They then had to resort to boxed/cask wine. RIP.

Stay tuned for more Jinx rumours and updates in the future!

Not much to report for me.

Connor Grima capping low was a disappointment, but I got $440k for him. Picked up a few recent "perhaps"ers. Convict players go up another quantum leap next season so it is basically a make or break season.

League champions and/or regional finalists is all that'll suffice!

Great idea, and read Daudy (though Pinto Gómez is a former Pig)

Shame I have nothing newsworthy to report. Entering season 18 with 18 weeks of saving money ahead, and (not so) urgently requiring another CB. I'm sure I will have a go when the time arises.

3/12/14 - Jinx Team News

In further movements, we announce the departure of longtime RB/FB/KR Heinrich Artz to the Michigan State Spartans. A former powerhouse team in the NA division, this could be a sign that coach spartans11 may be back on the warpath with signings like Artz who still have plenty to offer. We say farewell also to Bruce Schell, a KR out of the club's own academy. Bruce sought out more first team opportunities and we wish him well with his new club at the Pigs.

Also soon to be on the move is Antonio Jesus Azqueta. A beastly DL, he departs the Jinx after a second stint at the club only to join up with Mrcasado for a second stint under his tutelage! Antonio has been a bit of a nomadic journeyman throughout his career, but has chosen in recent times to rotate in between familiar surroundings under Coaches Daudy and MrCasado.

Finally, veteran safety Sebastian Trahan has announced his intent to retire by the end of this upcoming season. At 30 years of age, Trahan has been quoted to be determined to retire at the top of his game before any potential form dips. The one time USA National Team squad member has been at the club for 2 whole in real life years, spanning multiple seasons and being part of the Jinx squads that won the season 14 double and last season's regional cup. Trahan was part of one of the club's best intake periods, with first team members Reinhardt Bidner and Mac Coombs and Jinx Hall of Famer Soren Koskinen joining him on the team. Sebastian Trahan stands to be the first ever player to retire whilst playing for the Jinx.

The Wide Bay Falcons have rebranded themselves as the Central Queensland Crushers, expanding our market from the coastal region known as the Wide Bay-Burnett, all north up to the Fitzroy region (Rochampton, Mackay, Gladstone etc.) and out west to the remote Central West region of Queensland (Longreach, Winton etc.)

As for player movements, we made a few under the radar type moves. One move was the signing of veteran German defensive tackle Arnd Baldt. He's as strong as an ox and eats offensive lineman for breakfast. The second move was signing Hungarian youngster György Major to play offensive guard.

Leaving the club is Australian National Team Tackle Easton Johnstone. Johnstone was cut as a cost cutting move, with declining strength also playing a vital role in the decision. Other youngsters such as offensive lineman Claude Neill, players who never panned out, were also cut.
