What was with the Round 5 wins? Smallest winning margin was 45 points.

Half of the matches were humans vs bots and in the others it was mainly TD powerhouses vs lower division teams.

I got to pretend I was a powerhouse team vs a month old division III team. I'm happy to be the last of the bottom feeders. It will be old Mitchy boy's last ever cup game.

I would've loved to have a go. My name wasn't inside.

You've already had a turn, in season 15. Sharing is caring

Get the win, then it can be this season too.

I'll try but don't fancy my chances. Too many loose cannons on defense. Not enough of them on offense.

You never know, you've got a gun QB, even if he is getting old. Someone could pull a Rocky. In fact, the Falcons themselves are selling a quality WR! Wouldn't that be funny?*

*Not a serious suggestion, at that price you're nullifying a big part of your future gate + I think you might need a few more pieces on defence to hold him off, even if you had a super darkwing going.

Yeah and playing me is not exactly like playing Daudy's bunch. I don't think losing the WR will have that much of an effect at this stage. The rest of the offence isn't that good and another younger and cheaper bloke I got a few weeks ago is more consistent (but shorter) will replace him. The money I will make from it outweighs the short term loss.Last edited on 2014-10-15 at 9:27

I don't think you have too much to worry about. I think you will win quite comfortably.

That said, the hunt for capable yet affordable defenders begins now!

He looks like he would be a good addition, but unfortunately I've already exhausted my reckless spending quota for this season.

At that asking price. He will probably be on the team in 2 weeks still. Wrong time of season to be asking for big coin.

I just brought a 28yo LB 20int 16con 19spd 17str 19sta 17-18pos/vis/tac/agi for $41K.

The end and start of the seasons is when you can ask big coin for big wage players.

You and your Italian LBs...

On a sidenote, I will pay a lot for a good 5* TE with at least a few seasons left in him, and have been willing to do so for months. I've seen one that would have played beyond next season, and his end bid time was way too late and ended up being like 2 million anyway. Just waiting for those big teams to have their annual salary crisis, but there have been few real shocks or bad draws in the regional cups around the world this season. I will in exchange put one of my own 5* TEs up for sale after, so maybe we can do a bidding war swap. There has absolutely been a dearth of quality TEs on the market. I guess I would take a super star 4.5* BPOS guy also if he fits certain criteria I'm looking for, but it's been terrible.

I'm lucky in the TE position, my TE3 is 37 physicals and 4.5 talent (also trained as WR). And current TE1+2 have 2-3 years left in them. And TE4 is coming through with 35 uncapped physicals, although lower 3.5 talent.

The position I'm struggling the most is CB. 27yo, 28yo and Harbor/SF 29yo. All killer CBs in their own rights. Nothing I'm 100% happy with coming through the lower roster ranks. Probably will have to import in the next 1-2 seasons.

With my new Ilatian LB, it makes me have 3 suitable ILBs, although they all are aging too. But have many youth options of equal quality coming through, just ain't ready yet. The Ilatian give them 2 years to mature. He was a steal for $41K -> +11 INT, +8 CON, +1 STA, and all other stats are the same as the outgoing LB he is replacing. I actually have a overload of LBs, may have to look at selling up 1 or 2 at the end of the season.

I original brought the first Italian LB to play for one season while Mourish matured a little. So now seven seasons later, he is still here.

I'm actually pretty ok at TE, both my guys are 36/37 physicals and 5* BPOS, and by the time I have to move the 29yo on, I should have at least one 5* replacement already in the making + another 4.5* talent Aussie coming through (only 18/18 physicals, but w/e).

It's just there are a few nitpicky things about the current guys (particularly the 26yo) that I have, so I've really been looking for a guy with a couple of years left who is an upgrade on 5* BPOS, 37 physicals, and 17/18 skills.... hahaha! I've seen... one that might qualify (ie around the same level but with one or two other things I was looking for), and although I know I've set the bar really high, I've just seen so few TEs on the market (good or bad) it's a bit mysterious.

EDIT: I know those feels in terms of stop gap situations turning out a lot more long term. The Finnish QB I had a while ago was when I was in the market for a QB to immediately make me competitive. Led me to a double in the end, so I guess he didn't do too bad for a well rounded, but unspectacular 3.5* talent with low consistency.

I probably need a good LB too if I want to keep my mostly 3-4 formation, but have a few good youths coming through (though they'll likely be in line to replace the current non-30yos and I don't think they're really as good). But, I do have 4 very good DLs, so I guess I could change back to a 4-3
