Well, As some have noticed and some have seen (and many more don't care lol), after around 2 years I'm back!

I return to find my old team still working its way down the tables, and still containing international players.

Firstly, let me apologise to the people of the UK, I'm sorry, the team went bot, I was unable to access the internet for an extended period of time, and was given no warning of this, resulting in my team going bot. Being resident in Kuwait currently does have its problems! I did try to log on with a day left and was told my account was closed… interestingly i only received the warning email 2 days after this!

Anyway…. thats the past…

So I start again, in the bottom of the toilet, with a team of misfits, children and one odd spanish youth pull who is obviously adopted!

It shall be an interesting end to the season in a league with 2 other human teams, I'm just hoping to figure out how to play again…. today was my first official game against another human team, i wasn't expecting much…. and my team managed to not disappoint…

I will hopeful try to keep a journal of my thoughts, hopes, triumphs and setbacks in the next few months, and if some of you actually read it that would be even better ;-)

Step 1 - Who do i have?

So I get a new team and my first question is "Who is this?"

I see no Joe Johnstone, no Seb Abrahams and no talent!

firstly…. who do i want to keep and why?

Youth should be a big bonus at this point, any player will need to be around until i can find a better one, which means if your over 25 your over the hill, I can't guarantee this team will earn the big bucks or attract the highest payed players so i need to think long term and cancel any hopes of winning this season, and possibly next.

What about talent?
Given my history I'm known for hunting down high talent, high physical youth. That all costs lots of money, so i need to accept that 3 star talent is good and 4 star is better, but 1 star is better than nothing. Not an easy thing to accept, but a necessity.

Who plays where?
I don't know my players, I don't know how they will develop, and there going to develop slowly, so the key is keep your options open. This fits well with the "keep it cheap" approach, and the two together mean having players move around is not a bad thing, nor is having them play both ways.

All of this adds up to my current mantra:

Keep it cheap, Keep it Young, Keep it moving

This will stay as it is until the end of the season, at which point i will assess the league situation, and move to the "Let it Grow" stage for my teams BPOS.

but for now….. where did i leave that youth player….

No disrespect to LRY giants but looking at their results in bot heavy division, I'd wager that you'll be winning the league next year, not them.
