I have a tight end with 8 passing, 7 positioning and 6 vision...but he can only be a TE or WR. If I play him in friendlies at QB, will he eventually switch his position?

be careful of playing him at other positions in non freindlies. it will take much longer. I advise playing him at QB in any game you are sure of winning.

Charlie Evans? He is a 3 star rated Tight End. That is going to take forever if you play him in friendlies.

You will have to decide whether the wait is worth it...

Why does the number of stars effect how long it will take him to switch?

I thought the rating was a product of his skill set and how it grades out at his natural position?

Anyway, most people play a lot of bots. So if you really want to switch him, I'd suggest you play him behind center in those games too. With 8 passing, 7 vision (hopefully decent intelligence), he should be a fairly good QB even without it being his natural position.

Positional Rating is based entirely upon games played...

So if the player has 3 stars at his natural position, it is going to take a while for him to change to a different position...Heck, I have got a 2.5 positional rating Defensive Linemen that I have played at Offensive Line for atleast 10 matches now, and he still is not "adequate" at Offensive Line...

check the game engine breakthroughs for a description of postional rating versus in game rating.

Positional Rating is like another statistic for a given position the only difference being that rating can only be improved by playing games on that position (instead of training).

So you're saying that positional rating (the Rating on the player page) is simply a product of how many games he's played at a position and has nothing to do with his skills. Interesting...

So if I played a guy will all 0's/1's versus 20's for skills at the same position for an extended period of time, both would have the same rating in terms of stars?

I guess the later player would still have superior Match Ratings though.
