you strangely enough I agree with you on the Franchise QB thing. Isn't the kid from Texas tech in the draft though? I like him a LOT. In any event, the lions could go either side of the line with the first pick. The Kid from Alabama would be a good choice as would although I really like Shipley from Penn State as a center. with the second pick a good LB or DL is a MUST. as tempting as it will be to take a talented saftey or cb at 20 they need SOMEONE to cowboy up and stop the run.

My only problem with Harrell is the system he played in. I'm not convinced he'll be a great pro since he passed the ball 40 times a game in college.

But I've been wrong before and will again. Out of all the Texas Tech QB's in the past 10 years, he's the one who could do some damage in the pros.

If I was the lions I'd suffer another year with Kitna and 60 other QB's in the grand competition for dumbest play. Orlovsky's winning with his awful safety in the two point loss. I'd try to have the first round draft pick. Next year, Tebow. Intelligent, adequate scrambler, and great passer. He'd be a perfect fit for the lions provided a good draft the previous year. And Tom Brady, all trash from scouts, 6th round choice, he's a real franchise QB. Westbrook, goes in 6th round, one of the best RB's in the NFL currently, or at least two years ago. You never know who will come and when.

I agree, you never know when a franchise player is going to be drafted. But really, it doesn't happen often.

I think Tebow will end up a running back. Not saying it's fair, but with his running style I think that's where he'll end up.

Running back? Not racist or anything, if you see this unfit for the forums act accordingly, but virtually no white running backs. And he has a beautiful throw, and is very intelligent. A running back just seems... strange for him being such a great QB.

woah woah woah. Tebow is a GREAT college qb who will end up as a miserable failure as a QB in the pros if he gets there. If he gets drafted anywhere near the top round someone has been sniffing glue. his mechanics are awful he forces too many balls and is mostly so sucessful due to the fact that the option works in College and you have to respect it. Once you get to the pros and guys like AJ Hawk who runs a 4.6 are considered "slow" linebackers his feet become a much less viable weapon and he has to sit in and throw the ball. If Vince Young can't make it as a pocket passer, Tebow has no prayer.
