Colt McCoy's Big Head

Is Colt McCoy all head? Does he have brain matter in his sholder, or did the ref just totally hose the Buckeyes. If that play isn't blown, Texas doesn't score on the rushing play, and the Buckeyes win.

I guess when you lose poorly in 2 straight BCS championships, you have to beat the other team and the refs thereafter.

Eh, although there were quite a few blown calls, there were a few on each side. OSU beat themselves.

Convert one of those first half FG's into TD's(like the one where we had the ball at the 15) and we win, 25-24. Don't drop into prevent up 3 with over 2 minutes to go, we might stop them.

As for McCoy, all anyone has to do is watch the beginning of the game when the captains met at midfield to learn all you need to know about him. Big props to the 2 Texas players who took the time to shake Tyson Gentry's hand. Too bad Colt was in too big of a hurry to get back to sidelines.

Buckeye, we didn't play prevent. We got burned blitzing 3 on the last play. what killed us that I saw was TACKLING! Normally we can rely on a well executed defensive effort but the safties just had some serious Ole tackles.

Also, as much as I hate to say it, Boeckman played the better game. if we were going to pass he should have been in there. it looked like there was something wrong with Pryor's wrist because he floated just about every ball and all of them were ugly. it's sad that the winningest Senior Class in Buckeye history will have to go down like the Fab 5 from that school up north, always a bridesmaid, never a bride(although at least we won the big 10 a few times unlike TSUN). Hats off to Texas. They won the ball game by not being afraid to go for it. At least this year Tressel executed something close to a realistic offense. I hope he was taking notes from that quick strike Mack Brown attack though. with the WR's we have coming back we could kill people with that.

Watching the game last night we couldnt figure out why Todd wasnt on there more often if your going to pass...keep the better passer in the game

and talking about blown calls 2pt conversion Off and Def PI thats a bit cheap and the last 4th down conversion i though he was a inch or 2 short but im not the half blind ref looking at the sidelines

But what i never got is why not keep a LB or 2 out in coverage at least you could go for a pick as OSU brags a lot about there LB/CB in coverage but that last tackle just look like he wanted it to look like he tackled but just look like he tried to swat a ball 5 feet away

Also with beanie getting hurt AGAIN he is going to drop 6-7 spots in the draft at least. questionable durability is never good for power backs.

I think he had concussion issues. they were saying the trainers were the ones holding him out of the game. As a steve young fan I don't want anyone messing around with those out on the field

Yeah the tackling was horrible, and the last play was a blitz. But it seemed like the whole 2nd half we just did exactly what we did against Florida. Played 10-15 yards back and gave them whatever they wanted underneath. The last drive seemed like a mixture of that and bad tackling, at least to me. Not sure which one caused the bigger problem(probably the tackling), but you can't give an offense that good 5-8 yards on every play and expect them not to eventually score on you.

I loved the Boeckman to Pryor TD pass though. If Pryor ever settles down, makes his throws, and learns to run over defenders instead of running out of bounds, he's going to be a great all around athlete for us.

I'm also starting to think that Beanie might come back. IMO, he needs to go with how big his family is and the fact that he's still a 1st round draft pick, but I really think he wants to come back, win a Heisman, and prove to everyone he can stay healthy a whole season. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if he can. If he does come back, I hope he doesn't completely ruin his pro career.

Well most people like myself dont know about this and are going to think its just another one of his broken fingernails and sitting out cause his finger is sore

cause they kept showing him sitting on the bench and never mentioned a injury of any sort which is kinda sad cause that will hurt him but being taken in the top 10 isnt always the best seeing the team at the top lol

The key to an injury and whether or not it's a players decision is the helmet. if they have their helmet when they are being shown on the sidelines it's them making the decision to stay out. if no helmet is present it's the trainers keeping them from popping back onto the field. Explained to me by one of the trainers at UT(toledo not Texas)
