Does Carrying help a RB gain yardage or just help prevent fumbles?

My most consistent RB (in terms of picking up yardage) has pretty lousy carrying, but better strength than my other RBs.

I was just thinking the same thing. If it's just to prevent fumbling, then I'm going to have to rethink my positions. How often has that guy fumbled?

Pretty sure it's only to prevent fumbling, but not 100% on this.

I would guess just to prevent fumbles.

I'd say speed, agility, positioning(somewhat), footwork, and strength are all important for gaining yardage.

That's funny, because I thought it was his carry ability... thereby effecting yards. It's how I set up my RB's and I've had 700+ yard games ... I'm not positive... I'm just saying.

Thought it was his carry ability as well, and not how well he is in preventing fumbles.

me I guessed it by this :

Carrying = 1 means you got butter fingers baby and you ain't catching nothing man!!

carrying = 20 your hands are like glue!! you sure ya not cheating? you'll catch almost every ball that is thrown in yer general direction

I'll drink to that

I'm not sure that carrying help the player to catch the ball. The catching is there for it. Am I wrong ?
