Determining Best Player for Position

Sorry if this has been discussed, I haven't found a similar topic.

I used the tool to create an excel file of the player data, and I wanted to determine which player was best for a given position. So, let's say quarterback. According to Guru, the most important skills are:

PAS, VIS, and INT

secondary are:

FOO, and STR

so, for each player, i added PAS, VIS, and INT together, and FOO and STR at a half point each. Meaning, i gave each point of PAS, VIS, and INT a weight of 1, and each FOO and STR as .5

This would give me a grand total, and i would then compare to see who had the highest one. My question is what would be a more accurate weighting? If anybody even knows? Is passing equally important as vision and intelligence in this case? are footwork and strength worth half as much as a point in any of those?

Combining the excel data with an accurate weighting of points would be a great way to determine who should go where

I have no specific insight into the coding of the game, but I'm guessing that Passing is still more important to a QB than Intelligence and Vision.

Also, because most new players have passing and vision from 1-7 (to start with), but intelligence is 1-20 for new players, you're going to get a QB heavily weight toward Intelligence.

Is 20 Int, 3 Pas, 3 Vis (26 total) better than 14 Int, 6 Pas, 5 Vis (25 total)?

Right, exactly. And with many other players, STR and SPD might put them over the same way INT does with a quarterback.

Well... In that case i will prefeer the 26 over the 25. You can train Passing. You cannot improve Inteligence ever.
