Is there any benefit to where you play your safety ie, free or strong?

I always play them as FS. SS is to help stop the run. We all know that in the current game engine the run is not a real factor.

Been playing a single Strong Safety in my club games for the last 7 seasons, and national team games.

It does not matter who you play till you use an exotic formation.

With that formation , I beleive you will have your SS or FS being selected randomly as the only defender defending the play on the opposite side.

If you play without a Mid LB, the SS behaves like 1 and your opponents receivers have to break just 1 tackle to get a tD

Only SS test

On a side note that was the final of the NA friendly league that season and LAkota Sioux were a good team( i donot know if boredom or finances got to them)- I do think they have a version 2 team -

I had a CB and OLB on the other side with a MLB, NT and 2 DE's, I think it slowed down a dark wing for the first half. Or it might have just been the other team playing at home.
