Do both teams get money from ticket sales at friendly away games?

I am wondering why players request away friendlies and don't want to play friendly games at home??

Friendly income is shared equal between both teams. Some teams just have a stadium too small to get the max out of such friendlies, and challenge for away games in the hope of a bigger stadium, and therefore income

I'll add that in most of my friendlies the attendance seems to cap out at around 12,000. I'm not sure if that is due to my team being a div. IV team or not but for me any stadium at around 12,000 seats or more seems to be capable of giving me as much ticket revenue as what I will see.

Pumuckl is correct.

Also ... 2 other reasons for Away Friendlies :-

(1) 'Flag Collecting' .... you only get Flags for Away friendlies (supporters only)

(2) Construction. If you're building on all sides of the Stadium it is classed as 'closed' and therefore has a zero capacity (temporarily).
No point having a Friendly in a zero capacity stadium (obviously).

Since income is calculated on an average ticket price, the average ticket price rises until VIP and Exec seats are maxed out AND you still only have the original 1000 regular seats. I believe this total is around 13,500 seats, but you can check this easily. Anything over this seat total and assuming you draw the normal 9000 to 12000 fans for friendlies and you will only be adding regular seat pricing to your ticket average price for all attending and therefore, lowering the average ticket price and therefore, lowering the revenue for both teams. This has been stated countless times, but it's really that simple. To max your friendly match income, search for teams with stadiums around 13,500 seats, hope that they have built properly (i.e. built all vip and exec seats first) and challenge them at their venue and hope they accept
