Yes. The idea is to put the best receiver on their own on one side, and two or more receivers on the other side, and to throw only to the isolated receiver. The intention is to commit defenders into playing on the wrong side of the field (this is highly doubtful), and to ensure that the best receiver has the most attempts at catching the ball.

It's a decent plan if you have only one decent receiver (by that I mean wide receiver or tight end), but when there are other players on a team that can catch it's actually a bit of a waste, and there are better tactics out there.

Makes sense, in that the isolated recv'r will get all throws his way. But if the def plays zone, you're right that defenders wouldnt be drawn away.
Thx!

Some players also run a modification of this with either two good WR's or a TE/WR combo on the same side of the field. Then attack that side of the field.

Yes - the proximity calculations in the engine are only known to the developers and top math students at MIT, who use the complexity in the formulas to calculate the risk of the earth being hit by a meteor.

As in GI, they got it wrong some weeks ago in Russia.
