The youth center gives you more players to choose from, but you still only get 1 player. The players have the potential to have starting skills up to 1 pt higher, but it's still random. You get to see up to some skills of each player before selecting one (spd, str, agi, I don't remember the other, if there is a 4th).

You still don't see talent which is the most important determining skill.


As mrcasado said, the youth center should be the last facility you buy, if you buy it at all. I sold mine because I didn't feel it was worth the $20K I was paying each week in maintenance. Others feel differently though.

I think the youth center is good, but i have long been in favor of expanding the whole youth pull deal with one more upgrade called scouting combine. With the combine, you have the chance to actually check the talent of one of your 4 youth players and keep, discard or exchange for one of the other 3 players. Would completely make the benefit of the youth center what it should be.
