While I'm not strictly a rookie, i'm still rather new here!

I'm trying to expand my VIP/exec seating, but i'm not allowed. Any number I type into the expansion side immediately changes to "0", despite having the coin I need to expand.

Any likely reason?

You have probably max'ed it out. You got 12050 seats, so there should be a section where you have room for more VIP and EXECs.

Endzones can have 750 VIP and 2000 EXEC each. Home and away stands have 1000 VIP and 2500 EXEC each.

Total of 3500 VIP and 9000 EXEC. With the 1000 free seats, you should at maximum be able to build 1450 seats in one or more of your stands.

(That is ofcourse that you don't have any construction done at the moment.)

By maximum, do you mean a maximum in absolute terms, or maximum as a percentage of total seats?

Absolute term, on whichever stand you were trying to build of course.. As Srednad said, 750 VIP is max on short stands, 1000 on the long ones
