why is Emerson Hawkins not popping in passing? if you've seen him before, yall should know is passing was at 1. it popped to 2 a couple of weeks later and it's been there ever since, why hasn't he popped in passing? shouldn't he be at 3 by now?

with no coaches no training hall you get a max of (.21*.65) passing skill points to passing in a week (assuming you are focussing on passing)
7 + weeks to pop from 2-3
With everything maxed out (20 coaches training hall maxed) he will get a max(.62*.65) passing skill points trained every week
2+ weeks to pop
And thats assuming he has 20 teamwork
I beleive those numbers are accurate but its late and the nos are off the top of my head so they might be off
You might want to have a looksee at the help/faq for more accurate figures
But it takes more than 2 weeks for a skill to pop

It takes around 3 weeks for an attacking skill being focused on to go from 0 to 100 training points with full coaches and full training hall, but only 1 teamwork. However, this also assumes you get the minimum base training per week using average training intensity (so 8 in a random range of 8-12).
Don't underestimate the difference coaches and training hall makes, as they alone are around 48 points per week (though expensive and should be a LOW priority until you get financially established). That said, not all these points go to the one skill even when focused training, hence the 3 week time estimation.
Also, to clear up a possible spot of confusion. When you first get a player (even from youth pulls), all his skills don't start at 0 training. So essentially, some could be very much more than half way trained until the next level already. Thus, when you begin training a new skill, the first level up may come relatively quickly and is not an accurate indicator of how long 0-100 training points really takes.
There's no way of knowing which stage of training a player is at unless you have a supporter account. That'll also allow you to view when players hit skill and physical caps. Though if you start keeping track using an excel spreadsheet every week, you can have a rough idea of when to expect new skill levels.
