Well, you simply can't afford to do that, unless you do certain things, and if you think about this carefully it makes sense.

Why not have your offensive guards play at DT as well? If you start a player from the age of 16/17 then you can easily get the BPOS up to 5* and then play that player in a different position and get them to 5* as for example a DLine player too. Also this makes more sense with the training (Tackling/Blocking/Agility). So you could have a player with 20 agility, blocking and tackling costing you 100,000, but actually he's costing you 50k per position as you're using one player in place of two. You'd need high stamina though.

Gunners could easily be safeties/backup corners/linebackers.

You just need to build your team carefully and expect it to peak when your whole team is about 27/28.

You could in theory have a team built with 20 players costing you 100,000k each.... 32 million a year.

But because of the way getting BPOS works (If I remember correctly if you have a player play on offence and defence, whatever position they play on defence will get the BPOS). I think the sequence goes defence, offence, special teams. So if you wanted your entire offensive line to also be your defensive line (very possible to do) then you'd have to start someone else in the D Line while your players get to 5 star rating on offence, then you can start to play them on offence and defence together and then they'd get the ratings up on defence from then on in.

I have no issues with double-positioning except the time put into it and my patience.

But who wouldn't love a 20 tkl/agi/blk/footwork player with 5 BPOS...

That's the plan! To be honest though I'm only doing it with one player. It may become more... I will have to see. I haven't studied it enough to work out the absolute most efficient way of doing it. Offensive line/Defensive Line is obvious because of the skill sets and the training.

I did think about a QB/kicker as the kicker is a complete waste of money. a QB doesn't need to train that many skills. You could in theory do it but you'd be losing your starting QB to be in special teams for a couple of seasons.

Maybe WR/CB. But that's a lot of skills to train. But you could end up with CBs with 20 catching, WR's with 20 blocking. Could make life interesting in the new engine. Although if you were going to be realistic, 20 stamina should not mean someone can play both ways for an entire game.

I wouldn't build an entire team betting on this direction because of the possible new engine.
