Hey, I just made a account for grid iron, and I am excited to start playing. However, I have no idea how to schedule matches, and the website apparently won't let me do that yet. When can I begin scheduling matches, and how do I schedule them?
We are currently in-between seasons right now. The new season games should start the weekend of the 29th. A few days before that, you'll get your regular season schedule and the first regional cup game schedule.
In the mean time, the only games you can schedule yourself are friendlies. These can be played EVERY Monday. You can only schedule friendlies a week ahead of time, so you can now look for an opponent for the 24th. An easy way to get a friendly is to look at the friendly ads. Click 'Ads' along the left sidebar, click 'Friendly Games' tab at top. For each ad, click the team (the link by 'posted by' at bottom). On the team page in the area for stadium is a box that says 'Challenge!'. If it's grayed out, either this team or you already have a scheduled friendly next week. If you know it's not you, click another team. When you find one that's not grayed out, click the challenge! button and schedule it at your opponents stadium (yours is too small to generate much income at this moment). I highly recommend that you challenge several teams as some of these will get several challenges and can only accept one. Then it's a matter of waiting until someone accepts. I usually challenge 10 or more. After a couple of days, if nobody has accepted, I'll challenge 10 or so more.
You can also post an ad in the friendly ads section yourself. You can only post 1 ad per week there I believe.
