Kicker/Punter skill level

I'm in Div V and hopefully will be in Div IV one day , what skill level do you think is about right for a Kicker/Punter ??? ..... I'm trying to balance the skill level vs Wages as I really can't remember a game where a better kicker would've won the game for me.

My current kicker is 4* bpos and will be 4.5* fairly soon, however as the season is quite close to an end, I'm wary of taking his kicking or punting skills over an integer boundary as I don't particularly want to pay the increased wages.

So ... kickers/Punters in Div V and Div IV ... how high would you take their kicking/punting skills ?

My kicker / punter has 10 in kicking / punting and is doing just great.

I could bump him up to 13, but no need since games are seldom decided by FG, punts or kickoff.

Agreed, 10 seems to be plenty skill level for kickers with this game engine. BPOS are important, so try to find a consistent kicker with 16-20 con and 4.5-5* bpos. Even though my current 4* bpos kicker has been great, he will be replaced end of the season

I have won ine game by a fieldgoal...I have never lost by a field goal. So kicking does not seem to be overly important at this time. If he makes the extra points he is good enough it appears to me.

Without knowing what your current kicking/punting skills are at this moment, I'd still say they are plenty high enough for Div. V. As others have mentioned, 10-13 is good enough regardless of division.
Myself, I'd want kicking/punting around 5 or 6 in division V, if I was trying to save money for the future.

I think I compared top K's and P's (with 80k+ wages) against K's and P's with about 10k wages and found no difference in FG's made (within the 40 yard 'limit' and 5-10 yards on punts.

Not worth it and I would rather stall my K/P's training (ie. training speed all the time) than train kicking / punting up to a level where I have to fire him for being too expensive...

If you don't want to breach a certain number, train agility or vision or footwork. You never know, one of them might have an effect on kicking ability.

Yeah... but only up to the level of punting / kicking.

Otherwise... stamina to 19? Speed to cap? Tackling?
